The circular economy is not a new concept to the hospitality sector, given the large amounts of food waste management it engages daily. Despite its relevance, it remains a theory that rarely gets translated into actions. Through discussions, members agreed that more could be done to encourage higher rates of uptake amongst the general public and eventually businesses to integrate this concept into their daily lives and operations. This must begin with education and mindset change, putting in place necessary infrastructure to ensure successful buy-in.
