If you lose your job through no fault of your own and you are over 40 years old it is very tough to get a new job. If you are a job seeker who is over 50 years old it is nigh impossible to get an interview let alone a job. Why?

Age discrimination is a worldwide problem but it is illogical in Singapore. The average age of the Singaporean worker is now over 40. We have a very tight labour market. Wouldn’t it make sense for business and society to use our valuable human resources optimally?
